Paper beads

One of the fun events at PTI yesterday was a challenge to make beads out of paper. I don't normally get excited about projects like this, but given the gorgeous PTI and other patterned papers I have, I had to give it a try! I made the beads last night and let them dry overnight. I strung them together this morning with some smaller beads I had around the house. I hope you can check out the PTI blog activities and give this project a try!!

Stamp-a-faire 2012

Hi Everyone!

Tomorrow is Stamp-a-faire over at PapertreyInk and I really encourage everyone to check it out! As the summer winds down here in NYC, I'm really looking forward to this day full of stamping and crafting. Last year Robin and I went to CHA but we were unable to attend the PTI weekend. Therefore, I am really excited to have a chance to participate this year. Hope you all can join too!

PTI Blog Hop #2

Hey!

So Robin also decided to make a card for the PTI blog hop. She found an awesome piece of green gingham paper to line the card. She added a sentiment from PTIs framed out, cutting the border out in black card stock and the interior in white. She stamped the sentiment in black ink. Finally, she took the new PTI chevron die and die cut a thick and thin chevron piece out of black and white card stock. She glued the thin white strip onto the thick black strip and vice versa. She then adhered the strips to the card behind the sentiment. I hope you enjoy!!

PTI May Blog Hop

Hi everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted anything on the blog in a long time- things have been a little crazy around here. Anyway, I decided to make a card for the PTI May bloghop. The challenge was to make a card based on an inspirational photo, which contained various patterns in black, white and green.

I made this card using some paper scraps that were in the house. I used a peace of leaf patterned paper on top and a piece of script paper for the bottom. A strip of black cardstock was used to separate the two patterns. I die cut the frame from PTIs Happy Day and stamped one of the coordinating frames. I then added a sentiment from a Hero Arts stamp set and finished off the sentiment with two jewels. Finally, I added a few die cut leaves from PTIs "Turning a New Leaf" to tie it into the patterned paper.

Hope you enjoy!

PTI Blog Hop- Interactive Cards

Hey everyone!

The theme for this month's PTI blog hop is "interactive cards" so I decided to use the new movers and shakers dies to create a fun card. I paired the new PTI raspberry fizz patterned paper with the butterfly dreams stamp set. The sentiments come from the all about you stamp set. A few small pearls were used to finish off the card!

I hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary-

This is a card that Robin made for the anniversary. She was inspired by Michelle and her love of the jar stamp set. I love the buttons that she made, using PTI chipboard and the variety of colors in the card. It is such a springy card!!

Hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary-

This should be the last floral card for the evening! I love how the yellow fence looks on the matstack behind it. This card was inspired by all the floral cards that were seen today. I can't wait for all the excitement that comes with the PTI anniversary!

Hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary-

Although this card is different from Erin's gorgeous card, I decided to use her pastel colors and the PTI ice cream set to create a cute springy card. I remember when this set was first introduced, Nichole showed the set by stamping a phrase on the scoops, which I thought was really cute. I hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary-

Yet another floral card, inspired by Debbie Olson's card for the PTI 5th year anniversary! I don't have the gardening stamp set that she used, but I loved the idea of making a springy card in the middle of a cold day! I made this card using the PTI anniversary stamp set from last year. I really like the way the poppys look behind the fence.

Hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary-

I made this card this evening with Betsey's cards in mind. I don't often look to very big sentiments, but Robin convinced me to give this new stamp a try and I really like how it looked. Of course, the red, white and blue is for Operation Write Home!

I hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary- Floral

I made this card with Erin's project in mind; I just love how the light colors came together on her floral card!

To make this, I used many different sets including floral fusion and Turning a new leaf. I tried to stay within her color scheme, including pinks and other light hues. I also included the green leaves using momento ink.

I hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary- Kraft

I made this card for the PTI anniversary as well. I took inspiration from Maile's use of craft paper and a sentiment in black- I just love the look of that! I also wanted to use something springy, so I included some PTI cut flowers. Unfortunately, this stamp set does not have a matching die, so I hand cut the flowers. I love how CAS this card is!

Thanks for visiting. Hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary

Hi everyone!

Having not made a lot of cards in a while, I decided today would be a good time to get a little crafty. Despite it being fairly cold outside, I wanted to make some springy cards for the PTI anniversary. Therefore, I decided to use one of my favorite floral sets, the PTI anniversary stamp set from last year. I used this set with the fence die and a matching sentiment. I used a few of the springy, floral cards today as inspiration, such as the one from Debbie Olson.

I hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary Day 1 (Card #5)

I made one other card inspired by the colors and theme of Debbie Olson's card. I used the same piece of background paper but a slightly different card. For both cards, I used the stamp set as well as the coordinating dies.

Hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary Day 1 (Card #4)

After making the first set of cards, I decided to use some of the colors from Debbie Olson's card for inspiration. I haven't had a lot of time to play around with the new Rosie Posie stamp set from PTI, but I absolutely love it. I was really inspired by Nichole Heady's use of the set to make background paper, so I attempted to make a piece of decorative paper myself. I love the look of the different flowers and stamps in this set.

I hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary Day 1 (Card #3)

Here is my final take on Maile's gorgeous card! Although it is hard to see, the pattern continues all the way up the strip (the lightest color did not photograph well).

Hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary Day 1 (Card #2)

Here is another card inspired by the card from Maile. I tried to stay with the color/kraft combination and used the background stamp to create a strip similar to the one on her card.

Hope you enjoy!

PTI Anniversary Day 1 (Card #1)

Today is the first day of the PTI 5th Anniversary and I decided to make a few cards based on the gorgeous card Maile Belles selected. You can see all of the cards on Nichole's blog.

All of the products in the above card are from PTI unless otherwise noted.

Hope you enjoy!
